Play Games for PC comes under an open beta, lowering required specs and adding more games
Indeed, the company launched the gaming service for PC in the last year. However, it was just available for a few regions, and only users with a high-powered gaming PC could apply for access and to play. Now, Google reduced some of the restrictions and made Android games for PC more accessible with new features in open beta.
If you want to use the open beta, you don’t need to sign up for a waitlist. You can now get beta access to Play Games for PC by signing up and playing immediately. However, you need to be in one of those supported regions, Australia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand. Otherwise, it is not much possible to get an open beta for playing on PC.
Google allowed playing nearly 12 supported games when it launched the service in January. Then, the company says it has added more supported games like 50 different ones that you can sync progress among your devices. The company announced in a blog post, “In the last few months, we have more than doubled our Google Play Games catalog to 50+ titles, which can be played on Windows PCs via a standalone application built by Google. Our catalog includes many of the most popular mobile games in the world including Summoners War, Cookie Run: Kingdom, Last Fortress: Underground, and Top War. Together, these games are played by hundreds of millions of players globally.”
