Google prevents misinformation! Here is the new feature

Ana sayfa / News

Google is taking a new step in AI-powered search results. It previously introduced the AI Overviews feature, which aimed to provide summaries to users in search results. However, this feature has received criticism for sometimes providing entertaining but also misleading information. Some users even encountered strange suggestions from the AI, such as adding glue to pizza or astronauts saying they found a cat on the Moon.

To address these issues, Google has begun testing a new search feature that aims to eliminate this misinformation problem, known as hallucination. The feature works similarly to AI Overviews, but this time it filters information much more carefully. Google has also limited the pull of information from platforms like Reddit and Quora to prevent the spread of misinformation. In other words, Google is now choosing its sources more carefully.

The most striking aspect of this new search feature is that it has a design that hides the fact that it was created by artificial intelligence. For example, the fact that the summaries in the search results were created by artificial intelligence becomes apparent only when you click on the “More” button. This raises questions in the minds of some experts. Because users may be misled at first glance about the accuracy of the information.

However, Google states that this feature is still in the testing phase and will be shaped according to feedback. In the final version, AI-generated content is expected to be labeled more clearly. This will allow users to access accurate information more quickly and securely.

What do you think? Do you think that clearly stating the content created with artificial intelligence will prevent misinformation? You can write your opinions in the comments section below.
