Google has released the Beta 3.1 update to address some of the issues encountered in Android 14 Beta 3. This new update focuses on fixing the problems related to the under-display fingerprint sensor and includes a series of interface improvements.
Android 14 Beta 3.1 comes with June’s security patches
It is important to note that although Beta 3.1 addresses several issues, some problems remain unresolved. For example, the battery percentage may be displayed as 100% even if it is not accurate. Additionally, in certain situations, Android 14 may show persistent notifications at the top of the screen, causing the status bar to disappear.
To install Android 14 Beta 3.1, follow these steps:
- If you are already enrolled in the Android 14 program, go to Settings > System > System Update on your Pixel device.
- Check for updates, and if the Beta 3.1 update is available, download and install it.
- The update has a build number of UPB3.230519.914 and is approximately 65 MB in size.
Furthermore, the issue of errors occurring when users try to share websites, apps, or files with others has not been resolved. This problem has not gone unnoticed by many Pixel owners using Android 14 Beta 3.
Android 14 Beta 3.1 also includes the June security patch. This indicates that Google has provided a security update for the Pixel 6 Pro for the first time in months. The Beta program is available for Pixel 4a, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel 7a devices.
