When we think of the internet, Google is probably the first thing that comes to mind. Whenever we have a question, Google is usually the first place we turn to for answers. Through its search engine, Google allows us to access the information we need from the internet, and now it will also help us with our English language skills.
Google will perform grammar checks in English texts
Google now offers a feature that helps you check your language skills right from the search bar. Initially available only for English, this service is powered by artificial intelligence, which will identify grammar mistakes.
The AI-supported grammar check will show users whether an expression or sentence is written correctly in terms of grammar and, if not, suggest how to correct it. This way, users can learn the correct phrasing and patterns through Google.
The feature is quite easy to use. Users can activate it by typing “grammar check,” “check grammar,” or “grammar checker” after a sentence or phrase in the search bar. In some cases, the search engine can automatically check the text and provide the correct expression without the need for specific search phrases.
If the entered phrase is correct, Google will indicate it with a green checkmark. However, if an incorrect expression is entered, Google will correct it and present the revised version to the user. This feature is available both on the web and in the mobile app.
We are now witnessing the increasing impact of artificial intelligence. Google’s new grammar tool is just one example. What are your thoughts on Google and its new English language service? Feel free to share your opinions in the comments section.
