Device updates that bring new features, improvements, and fixes hold significant importance for smartphones. However, some users may hesitate to upgrade their current update. Google seems to be determined to persuade users to upgrade to the latest operating system version with the introduction of new features. Here is the new Google update invitation feature!
Google will show you what you’ve been missing in the new update!
Mishaal Rahman, known for leaking information, recently shared a new feature from Google on Twitter. This feature specifically targets users who insist on not upgrading their phones to the latest version.
According to Rahman’s post, Google is working on a feature called “Android Upgrade Invitation.” This feature showcases the features of a pending update to users, subtly prompting them to perform the update.
This functionality can be utilized by Android OEMs and will require support from Google Mobile Services. Despite that, it provides users with an idea of what to expect from an upcoming update, potentially influencing them to change their minds.
For example, if you are currently using Android 12 and choose not to update to Android 13, it will show you what you’re missing out on. Rahman’s statement includes the following explanation:
“The Android Upgrade Invitation is a user flow that showcases significant features present in the current major Android OS upgrade. The flow aims to help persuade users to upgrade their devices to the latest OS version.”
