Google gave bad news for unused Gmail accounts. Warning that these accounts will be closed within three months, Google will get rid of millions of empty Gmail accounts. Here are the details of Google’s new policy.
Unused Gmail accounts will be closed within three months!
Google provides e-mail service to millions of users with Gmail. Thanks to this mail address, Google, which allows you to access all its services, also offers cloud storage service. Of course, completely free mails also allow users to create accounts continuously.
Thousands of people forget their username or password after opening a Gmail account. For this reason, Google, which announced that there are millions of Gmail accounts that are not opened and entered, comes up with a new solution for these accounts. Google will now close these unused mail accounts.
Google has defined a three-month period for inactive mail accounts. With the decision that will take effect in December 2023, unused Google mail accounts will be completely closed. Defining unused as “accounts that have not been entered for two years”, Google reports that documents, photos and videos will be permanently deleted with the closure of the mail.
For now, Google is only sending a warning message. Warning texts have already been sent to the recovery e-mails of Gmail accounts that may be closed. Taking an important step in terms of security, Google deletes these accounts that people have already forgotten, reducing the possibility of accounts being passed to foreign persons to zero.
How do you find this new step of Google? Do you have an e-mail account that you created and then never entered? You can add your answers in the comments.
