In recent months, Google has been trying to integrate artificial intelligence into all its services. From searches to the Android operating system, many platforms are trying to benefit from artificial intelligence. However, it seems that the last application that the company wants to bring artificial intelligence will be Google Recorder.
Google Recorder will summarize notes with AI
Google’s voice recorder app for Android phones could get a new AI-powered feature. The app already offers live transcription and the ability to record audio from different sources. But thanks to artificial intelligence, it can automatically summarize your recordings.
The new feature is expected to be offered to Pixel models first. The Recorder, which is included by default on phones, will probably have AI-powered summarization within the device. In this way, short summaries of long recordings can be created without the need for an internet connection.
AI-powered summaries could help to quickly understand long meetings or conversations without the need to listen to audio recordings again. It is also thought that AI will automatically name the audio file and avoid confusion.
This feature is expected to be included in the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, which will be introduced later this year. It is unclear when the app on Google Play will have this support. However, it is worth noting that the app is not compatible with all Android models.
We know that Google is already working on similar AI-powered summarization for Docs, YouTube and Assistant. It will also be possible to summarize websites with the support to be added to Chrome.
