Ana sayfa / News

Another significant step has been taken toward Turkey’s goal of enhancing its global competitiveness in high technology. Altınay Technology Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Altınay Technology Campus, designed for the development and production of robotics, motion control technologies, and their subcomponents, as well as critical technologies for the industrial and service sectors. Construction has begun in the Tuzla Deri Organized Industrial Zone, Istanbul. The campus will make a significant contribution to Turkey’s rise as a technology producer and exporter in innovative areas.

This investment, shaped by its high engineering capabilities, R&D-focused production approach, and domestic capital strength, will contribute to Turkey’s technological independence and further strengthen Turkey’s reputation in international markets with its competitive products.

Hakan Altınay, Chairman of the Altınay Technology Group, emphasized in his speech at the ceremony that Altınay’s technology development journey, which began 34 years ago on a university campus, has now evolved into a global-scale campus: “The $5 million investment we dreamed of in the 1990s has now transformed into a $50 million technology campus. This campus is not just a production facility; it is a concrete symbol of Turkey’s pursuit of technological dominance and socio-economic development. We continue on our path with our commitment to developing high technology with high ethics.”

Altınay, reminding that they established Turkey’s first R&D company in 1991 to develop national-level robotic technology, stated that this led to the development and production of the first six-axis industrial robot. He continued: “In 1994, we introduced the robot we developed, the Altınay HSR4, to our country. Since then, we have pursued our goal of producing high technology with great effort and determination. With our new campus, we are taking a step forward in this goal. We will develop innovative technologies, primarily robots and robot-based products, for our country and offer them to all humanity. With growing strength and enthusiasm, we will continue to invest in technology for the bright future of our country and our nation.”

The Altınay Technology Campus was designed as a modern technology hub with a total indoor area of 28,000 square meters. 16,000 square meters of the campus is dedicated to engineering and R&D activities, while 12,000 square meters are structured to serve manufacturing technologies. This facility houses all the infrastructure necessary for the development and mass production of high-tech products.

When fully operational, the campus will create additional employment and employ 1,500 people. 1,200 of these staff will consist of engineering and R&D experts, while a technical team of 300 will be involved in production processes.

The facility will significantly accelerate the development of critical technologies and, thanks to its infrastructure, increase product diversity. Furthermore, its R&D capacity will be further expanded, creating a structure that will enable the development of innovative solutions in a wide range of fields, from industrial robots and humanoid robots to quadrupedal and bipedal robots.

The new campus will not only meet emerging domestic needs; it will also advance Turkey’s export potential by offering competitive products to international markets. Its innovative production approach will inject dynamism into the industry and contribute to our country’s leadership goals in the high-tech sector.
