The new action game The Precinct inspired by the GTA series is arousing curiosity. The Precinct, a police simulation game developed by Fabraz, said it will offer a playable demo as part of the Steam Next Fest that will start on October 14.
The new GTA-style game, announced as part of the Summer Game Fest last year, gives players the chance to be a rookie police officer. The game, where you will play the main character named Nick Ordell Jr., features some previously unseen details.
The Precinct, which puts players in the shoes of a police officer patrolling a city inspired by 1980s America, aims to capture the atmosphere of the pre-GTA 3 games with bird’s eye view camera, vehicle chases, conflicts and random crime incidents.
The first notable innovation in the game will be that players can request help from the police department in difficult situations. This support will allow them to access various resources, such as roadblocks and tire-bursting road traps, to catch criminals.
According to the developer’s statement, players will be able to respond to missions using a variety of vehicles, such as police cars and helicopters, in the demo. The Precinct also promises detective elements such as collecting evidence and investigating gang activity in between pursuits.
The developer also said that players will be able to explore the city on foot, in a squad car, and by helicopter. It was reported that the game will include many police missions, from parking violations to gang clashes.
While the release date of GTA 6 is still uncertain; the new police-themed game looks set to offer fans of the series a fun open-world experience.
