Michael Gambon, who gave life to the character of Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter series, the most magnificent universe of the cinema world, has died. Born on October 19, 1940, the British actor passed away at the age of 82.

Irish-born film and theater actor Gambon began acting on stage in the early 1960s. Although he is known for his roles as a psychotic mafia leader in “The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover” in 1989 and as the elderly King George V in “The King’s Speech” in 2010, it was the character of Dumbledore that made him unforgettable.
Michael Gambon joined the Harry Potter series in 2004. Gambon appeared after the third installment of the eight-film series. The British actor, who took over the character of Dumbledore from Richard Harris, took the character to another level over the years.
