Has the AMD Ryzen price hike been canceled?

Ana sayfa / News

According to industry insiders, AMD has not taken any steps to increase the prices of its popular Ryzen processors. Industry experts say they have not seen any indications of price adjustments at this time.

The unprecedented rise in DRAM and NAND memory prices, driven by demand for artificial intelligence, has impacted both the availability and prices of consumer hardware components.

The Ryzen 9000 (codenamed Granite Ridge), a top-performing CPU, appears unaffected by recent price hike rumors. Two industry sources, one of whom remains anonymous, say they have received no indication from major US distributors that Ryzen processors will be priced. This suggests that, contrary to recent rumors, no change is imminent.

Processors are less sensitive to price fluctuations due to NAND shortages than components like SSDs, graphics cards, and memory. AMD is known to have recently updated the prices of its Radeon graphics cards.

Therefore, even if these rumors initially have even the slightest basis, the company may postpone adjusting processor prices to avoid further fueling customer dissatisfaction.

While finding affordable memory for a new system build or an upgrade is becoming increasingly difficult, it’s reassuring that AMD Ryzen processors, perfect for gaming and productivity, remain reasonably priced, at least for now.

The top three best-selling processors at major retailers like Newegg and Amazon are currently all Ryzen models. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D, known as the leading gaming processor, holds the top spot on both platforms.
