“Hey Copilot” feature will be available for Windows!

Microsoft aims to improve the user experience with artificial intelligence-powered Copilot. The company has started testing a new feature that works with the “Hey Copilot!” voice command in the Windows 11 operating system. Thanks to this, users will be able to start a conversation with artificial intelligence by simply giving a voice command.

The new feature is offered as part of the previously announced “Copilot Voice” system with natural speech capabilities. Users can see that Copilot is active with the microphone icon that appears at the bottom of the screen.

“Hey Copilot!” is currently only offered within the Windows Insider program. In order for the feature to be activated, users need to manually enable this function. According to the statement made by Microsoft, the update will not reach all test users at the same time.

Microsoft states that this voice access feature was developed within the scope of user privacy. The “Hey Copilot” command is detected by a wake-up system operating within the device. The system uses only a 10-second voice memory; these sounds are not sent to the cloud or recorded locally. Thus, users’ conversations are protected in terms of both privacy and security.

Microsoft, which previously failed to achieve the desired success in the voice assistant market with Cortana, wants to make a strong comeback in this area with Copilot. So what do you think about this new artificial intelligence feature? You can easily share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
