High on Life is a comedic first-person shooter game with action-adventure and metroidvania elements. It takes place in a science fiction world which features talking guns. It was created by Justin Roiland and developed and published by Squanch Games. The game was released on December 12, 2022, for Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Fixes & Optimizations
General crash and progress blocker fixes, including:
- Fixed Motion Blur and Chromatic aberration settings on PC.
- Gurgula Hints that were picked up but not tracked will now be updated to their proper status.
- Additional fixes to prevent players from getting stuck in Space Applebee’s or if they’re already stuck.
- Fixed issues where keybinding not being consistently set for certain keys. Please reset keybindings to default first before rebinding!
Content & Feature Updates
- Updated Gus to make his damage more consistent at range.
- Tightened up Sweezy’s initial firing spread.
- Introduced an Accessibility Menu not previously in the game:
– Full Auto Firing option allows guns to be fired continuously by holding the primary fire input instead of repeatedly pressing it.
– Aim Assist Max Angle option adjusts the distance from the player crosshair that an enemy must be to be considered a guaranteed hit.
– Speaking Indicators option can now display icons over the characters speaking.
– Text Scaling now available by UI Text and Subtitle Text.
– Improved legibility options for Subtitles including Hyper-Legible Text.
– Camera Motion setting adjusts camera motion levels to player’s preference.
– HUD Drift toggle to remove drifting upon camera turns.
– Color Correction modes for Deuteranope, Protanope, and Tritanope now added where severity may be adjusted to player preference.
