Honda recalls 720,000 vehicles due to fire risk

A recent technical problem at Honda has caused the company a lot of headaches. The company has decided to recall 720 thousand vehicles worldwide. Among the recalled models are the 2023 and 2024 Honda Accord and hybrid versions, the 2025 Honda Civic and hybrid models, and the Honda CR-V hybrid models produced between 2023 and 2025.

According to the information received, the main problem is the high-pressure fuel pumps used in these vehicles. A detected malfunction in the fuel pumps can cause internal rupture, leading to fuel leakage, which poses a serious risk of fire.

Honda said that so far no accidents or fires have been reported in connection with this problem. However, the company preferred to take precautions in order not to risk the safety of its users. As part of the recall, owners will be offered free of charge to have their fuel pumps checked and replaced if necessary.

Honda plans to officially notify owners of the recall in December. In this process, it is stated that vehicle owners can get help from their services for the necessary procedures without worrying. However, another investigation into the AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) system is ongoing.

It is stated that this system is malfunctioning especially in Honda Accord and CR-V models, affecting more than 300 thousand vehicles and causing 31 accidents and 58 people injured so far. A separate investigation process has also been initiated due to this problem.

While Honda is taking quick steps to solve these problems and ensure customer safety, it is also very sensitive about protecting its brand image. With the recall program, the company, which has taken safety measures to the highest level, has started to work to prevent possible problems.
