Honor, one of the Android giants, is preparing to announce the new Magic 8 and 8 Pro models at an event in October. Rumors surfaced today that the company is also working on an unexpected phone for the Chinese market. The device, whose name is still unknown and only a few details have emerged, is rumored to feature a 10,000mAh battery. Here are the details.
Honor’s 10,000mAh Battery Phone
Following the Honor Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro, which are expected to launch in October this year, the brand may release the Honor GT 2 series, powered by the Snapdragon 8 series chipset, before the end of the year. In addition to these devices, Digital Chat Station claims the tech giant is working on a phone with a massive battery.
According to a leaker, this mysterious Honor phone with a 10,000mAh battery will be powered by the Dimensity 8500 SoC processor. According to recent reports about the device, the new phone will feature a 6.79-inch LTPS OLED panel supporting 1.5K resolution.
Despite using a fairly large battery, the device is expected to be reasonably thick. While there’s no official announcement regarding a launch date, it’s expected to be unveiled in the first half of 2026.
Honor’s current phone with the largest battery is the mid-range Honor X70, which boasts an 8,300 mAh battery. Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, this phone weighs 199 grams and is just 8.0 mm thick. Therefore, the mysterious 10,000 mAh Honor phone is expected to be under 9 mm thick and weigh around 210-220 grams, which is quite reasonable considering the massive battery size.
