Honor is preparing to intensify the competition in the foldable phone market. The company’s new model, Honor Magic V5, will be officially introduced in June. It is stated that the Magic V5, which will be released after the 400 series, will have the thinnest design in its segment.
Honor Magic V5 draws attention with its thinness
According to the latest information, the Magic V5 model will take its place on the shelves before the first half of the year is completed. One of the most striking aspects of the device will be its body thickness of 8 mm. This value indicates a thinner design than the 8.9 mm thickness of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 model, which is expected to be introduced soon.
Despite this thinness, Honor has not compromised on battery capacity. The Magic V5 has a battery of over 6,000 mAh and 66W fast charging support. On the processor side, Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite platform is used.
On the other hand, the screen features are also positioned in the upper segment. The cover screen is a 6.45-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The inner screen has an 8-inch 2K resolution foldable screen with 120Hz support.
The camera system also draws attention with its ambitious structure. The 50 MP resolution optical image stabilization supported main camera is accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera. Magic V5 will also offer wireless charging, IPX8 water resistance certification and Beidou satellite messaging support.
