Honor launches Magic Vs foldable with $1,050 start price

Honor expands its foldable phones with the new Honor Magic Vs. The company officially launched the new foldable phone along with the Honor 80 Pro, Honor 80, and Honor 80 SE. The brand held a great launch event in China. At the event, Honor introduced and launched several products such as a new foldable phone. Here are the details about Honor Magic Vs.

Honor Magic Vs comes with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

While Qualcomm announced the newest Gen 2 processor, Honor preferred to launch the new foldable device with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Additionally, the device comes with 8/12GB of RAM and 256/512GB of storage options. The new foldable phone is thinner and lighter than its predecessor.

On the display side, the brand launches the phone with a 6.45-inch external display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. For the inner screen, the phone manufacturer used a 7.9-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The phone features a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner for biometric security.

Honor Magic Vs has a 5,000mAh battery with 66W wired charging. The phone doesn’t support wireless charging. The phone also comes with a 54-megapixel Sony IMX800 main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide, and an 8-megapixel 3x zoom lens. On the front, the device has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The new foldable phone Honor Magic Vs starts at ¥7,499 price tag in China, which is about $1,050. This price will make the phone one of the most affordable foldable phones. The brand explained that the devices are expected to ship on November 30 to China while there is no announcement for the international release date. However, Honor CEO George Zhao has confirmed that the new foldable phone will be available in “overseas markets” in the next year.
