Honor continues to release its X7 and X8 series phones with simple alphabetical suffixes. The newest member of the Honor X8 series, which first launched in 2022 and was followed by predictable additions like the X8a, X8b, and X8c, is the Honor X8d. This model quietly surfaced on a retailer’s website in Kyrgyzstan.
Notable Features of the Honor X8d
The Honor X8d stands out with its unusually large battery capacity for the mid-range segment and a yet-to-be-released chipset. The device features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 × 2392. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset, which is expected to be unveiled next week. Yes, the leak confirms that this is the actual name of the processor.
Honor has included a remarkably large 7,000 mAh battery, which is above average for this segment. The phone supports 45W wired charging. The X8d also boasts an IP65 rating, offering basic dust and splash resistance.
Memory options include 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A higher-capacity variant isn’t listed, so it’s unclear if storage expansion or additional models are available.
On the back, there’s a 108MP main camera along with a 5MP secondary sensor. On the front, there’s a 16MP selfie camera. The device weighs 188 grams and measures 162.9 × 76.3 × 7.5 mm. The phone is expected to run on Android 16 with MagicOS 10 on top. It will be released in Black, Blue, and Silver color options.
The X8d hasn’t been officially announced yet, so pricing and release information are currently unavailable. However, this quiet listing suggests the launch may not be far off.
