Apple has started rolling out its AI features to its users, and with iOS 18.1 beta, these features are rolling out gradually: However, not everyone has access to these new Apple Intelligence features yet. Apple’s AI features are still in beta, and you need to join a waiting list to access them. Here’s what you need to do…
It’s easy to get on the Apple waiting list
If you want to try out the next generation of AI features on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, we explain step by step how to join the waiting list. First, you need to have a device that supports Apple Intelligence. Your device also needs to be running iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 or macOS 15.1 Sequoia.
If you haven’t installed these versions yet, after installing iOS 18 beta, if you live outside the US, you need to change your device’s region and language settings to US and English (US). To do this, you can do these settings by following the “Settings > General > Language & Region” path.
If Apple Intelligence & Siri option is not visible even after changing the language and region settings, you may also need to set Siri language to English (US). After making these settings, you can join the waiting list.
Steps to join the Apple Intelligence waitlist
- Open the Settings App: Open the Settings app on your device.
- Select Apple Intelligence & Siri: In Settings, tap on “Apple Intelligence & Siri”.
- Join the Waiting List: Here you can join the waiting list by tapping on the “Join the Waiting List” option. When you see a message on the screen saying “You Have Joined the Waiting List”, the process is complete.
Once you’ve accessed the AI features , you’ll receive a confirmation notification on your device. From there, you can start experimenting with new features like writing tools, cleaning, typing to Siri, summarizing web pages, and more.
