However, TikTok has been on the agenda with security problems for a while. If you don’t feel safe or if you think you are spending too much time on TikTok, you can close your TikTok account. Maybe the content on TikTok is getting boring for you. Whether the reason is to save time or for security reasons, you can close your account at any time.
- Log in to your TikTok account
- Click on your profile at the bottom right
- You will see three dots at the top right of the screen leading to the settings section
- From here, click on manage my account
- On the screen that opens, you will see the “Delete my account” option
- You will need to enter your password to delete the account
- Then continue
- Click on the “Delete My Account” option that appears in the box at the bottom
- When you follow all the steps, your account will be permanently deleted in a few minutes.
If you log back into your account for 30 days after completing the account deletion process, the account deletion will be canceled. Remember that when you delete your account, you’ll no longer be able to manage any videos you’ve posted. As such, make sure to delete those videos before you delete your account if you want them removed from the social network. You’ll also lose access to anything you’ve purchased in the app, like coins.
