How’s the Galaxy Z TriFold’s performance?

Ana sayfa / News

Samsung is preparing to launch its new foldable phone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, in South Korea, creating considerable excitement in the tech world. However, leaks emerging ahead of the December 12th launch may surprise those waiting for the device. The leaked Galaxy Z TriFold performance test results, in particular, fell slightly short of expectations.

The Geekbench 6 test results for the device, eagerly awaited by tech enthusiasts, have surfaced online. According to the data, the phone achieved a score of 2853 in the single-core test and 8501 in the multi-core test.

While these scores may initially indicate a powerful device, the situation changes when considering the hardware at the heart of the phone. It’s noteworthy that the model powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset achieved lower scores compared to the official performance figures for this processor.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite, one of Qualcomm’s most powerful processors, normally promises much higher performance. This decrease in battery life for the Galaxy Z TriFold is thought to be due to the device not yet having a final software version or to thermal management challenges posed by the tri-fold screen.

We’ll see if Samsung can change this with improvements before the official release date of December 12th.
