First of all, let’s note that the EliteBook Ultra G1i model is the top model of this series. Coming with a 14-inch 3K OLED display, the device comes in touch and non-touch versions. With a resolution of 2880 x 1880, this screen is ambitious in terms of both brightness and color accuracy.
The device offers high quality video calls with its 9 MP webcam and offers image enhancement features with artificial intelligence support. The device also promises a strong performance in terms of audio, and comes with a studio-quality dual microphone and four-speaker system. In addition, its haptic-based touchpad offers a “click” sensation familiar from Apple’s MacBooks. The non-touch version of this model weighs 1.2 kg, while the touch version weighs 1.22 kg.
EliteBook X Flip G1i model offers a hybrid use with its 360-degree folding hinge. This model, which can be used as both a laptop and a tablet with its 2-in-1 structure, comes with a 1920 x 1200 resolution LCD screen. There is also a 2560 x 1600 resolution option for those who want higher resolution. The device is compatible with HP’s active rechargeable stylus, but it needs to be purchased separately.
EliteBook X G1i stands out with its classic laptop form factor. It has similar LCD screen options to the Flip model, targeting users looking for a more traditional design. However, the 5 MP webcam offers a lower resolution compared to the Ultra G1i model.
Meanwhile, the new EliteBook models can perform 48 trillion operations per second (TOPS) thanks to the artificial intelligence engines offered by Intel’s Core Ultra chips. In particular, image processing and audio enhancement become smoother with AI support. All models offer 16 GB or 32 GB RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB SSD storage options.
HP has not yet shared any official information about the prices and release dates of the new models. However, these models are already on display in Las Vegas during CES 2025. Do you think these new AI-powered laptops will reach a large audience? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
