HP announces its desktop computer with artificial intelligence
Star Desk AI features Intel’s first integrated artificial intelligence engine in the desktop class. Users can purchase the system with two different configuration options, with Core Ultra 5 225 or Ultra 7 265 processors.
The basic model includes 16 GB DDR5 RAM and a 1 TB SSD. Memory capacity can be increased up to 32 GB. The device’s cooling system uses a centrifugal fan supported by active SSD cooling.
The device also stands out from traditional desktop computers in terms of design. The 16-liter compact case offers a simple yet modern look with a wood-textured front panel. The system, which comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse in the box, does not leave the user with the need for an additional peripheral after installation.
Connection options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB-C port that offers data transfer at 10 Gbps, and DisplayPort 1.4a with 8K resolution support. Star Desk AI comes with 280W or 400W power supply options.
There are also expansion slots required for external graphics card installation. The system is delivered loaded with the Windows 11 operating system and Microsoft Office Home package. HP determined the pricing of the model according to the hardware configuration.
The basic version with the Core Ultra 5 225 processor is offered for sale for $635. The price of the version with 32 GB of RAM increases to $745. The highest-level configuration took its place on the shelves with a price tag of $910.
