HP has officially announced its new generation gaming desktop PC series, the Shadow Elf 2026, in the Chinese market. Positioned under the Omen 16L series, these new systems feature a highly compact chassis design with a volume of only 16 liters. The device’s technical infrastructure is based on Intel’s 14th generation Core i7-14650HX processor.
Shadow Elf 2026 Unveiled
This processor, adapted from the mobile segment, offers a total of 16 cores and 24 threads, with 8 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores. The processor reaches speeds up to 5.2 GHz and handles demanding tasks with 30 MB of L3 cache.
On the graphics side, the system is equipped with Nvidia’s latest Blackwell architecture-based RTX 50 series graphics cards. Users can choose between the RTX 3050 8GB, RTX 5060 8GB, RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, and the most powerful in the series, the RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of VRAM, depending on their needs. These new generation graphics units include current software support such as ray tracing technology, DLSS 4 multiframe rendering, and Reflex 2.
The system supports up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM operating at 5600 MT/s. For storage, the computer comes with a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and a second SSD slot is available for future capacity expansion.
Cooling performance is provided by a tower-type air cooler supported by 120mm fans at the front and 90mm fans at the rear. This configuration is optimized to keep the processor’s 110W thermal design power (TDP) under control.
In terms of power supply, depending on the chosen configuration, 400W or 500W units with 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency certification are used. For connectivity, the front panel features three USB-A ports and one 10 Gbps USB-C port, while the rear panel retains standard configurations such as four lower-speed USB-A slots and an Ethernet port.
HP announced that sales of the Shadow Elf 2026 series will begin on December 29th. Pricing varies depending on the hardware components. The entry-level model with an RTX 3050 graphics card and 16 GB of RAM is priced at 5,699 yuan (approximately $798), while the 32 GB RAM version with an RTX 5060 graphics card is available for 7,299 yuan (approximately $1,022).
The top-of-the-range package, featuring a 16GB RTX 5060 Ti graphics card, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD, is listed at 8,799 yuan (approximately $1,232). In terms of market competition, Lenovo’s new Lecoo Cool 310 series with Intel Core Ultra 5 and AMD Ryzen processors, and Mechrevo’s smaller 8-liter S500 model, stand out as current alternatives to HP’s new move.
