HTC has managed to grab the attention of social media with its surprise phone launch on June 12. Pointing to a new smartphone event, the company seems to be playing at the flagship level. There is no description on the published poster, but it is thought that the device will be the HTC U24 Pro, which has been on the agenda with leaks recently.
HTC U24 Pro will be unveiled on June 12
The HTC U24 Pro was previously revealed on Google Play Console. Accordingly, the mid-to-high-end model is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. It is rumored to feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2436 resolution and 12GB RAM.
Play Console also revealed the design of the phone. The device has a curved screen with thin bezels and an embedded selfie camera. The volume and power keys are located on the right side. The phone also supports Bluetooth 5.3 and will run Android 14 out of the box.
The U24 Pro will be positioned as the successor to the HTC U23 Pro, which was released in the middle of last year. The U series phones are not available in our country, but they are popular in certain Asian and European markets.
As a reminder, the U23 Pro had a 6.7-inch OLED screen. The hole in the screen houses the 32 Megapixel front camera, while the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The fingerprint reader was not on the screen, but on the power button in the old way.
