Ana sayfa / Virtual Reality

The augmented reality market, which expanded with glasses such as Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest, was under the leadership of HTC for a period. The company, which introduced the first VR/AR games with its Vive series glasses, took action in this context. It was stated that the company has given an important update to its VIVE Ultimate Tracker device, which can track the whole body.

HTC has released a beta software update for the VIVE Ultimate Tracker that it released a few years ago. As part of this update, the device’s compatibility has been expanded to include glasses from other manufacturers.

For those who don’t know, VIVE Ultimate Tracker; designed for all-in-one glasses and offers a PC-powered experience. Billed as “the world’s first self-tracking tracking device,” this accessory allows you to transport your body into virtual reality.

Since its launch, it has only supported HTC’s own glasses, such as the VIVE Focus 3. With the new update, it can be used with glasses of other brands. This shows that HTC will be compatible with every brand.

Powered by artificial intelligence, the device uses two wide-angle cameras and computer vision for real-time spatial recognition. It can perform full body tracking without external sensors or base stations. It is almost palm-sized and offers easy portability.

Thanks to the new beta software, the body tracker can now be used with glasses of other brands such as Pico and Meta Quest. The update brings new possibilities for mixed reality and full body tracking applications. It aims to create an ecosystem around HTC’s SLAM-based tracking solution.
