Huawei introduced TrueSense , a new health monitoring system for future wearable devices, at an event in China . According to Huawei, this innovative system will set a new standard in health monitoring. So what does it do? Details in our news…
Is Huawei making TrueSense health monitoring the new standard?
TrueSense combines data from sensors to collect data such as respiratory rate, SpO2 (blood oxygen levels), body temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate . Although these sensors have also been present in Huawei’s previous wearables, the company says that this time around, the data is more accurate, comprehensive, and used more efficiently within the Huawei ecosystem.
Although Huawei has yet to reveal which devices will launch with TrueSense, it is thought that the blood pressure-focused Watch D2 , which is expected to be unveiled next month , will be one of the first to use the technology. A teaser for the Watch GT 5 has also been released, suggesting that this model could also be equipped with TrueSense.
Rico Zhang, President of Huawei Smart Wearables and Healthcare Products Line, stated that this health development will guide users towards healthier lifestyles. The new “ Health Glance ” feature will allow users to measure more than 10 health indicators in just 60 seconds. These indicators include the familiar heart rate or ECG, as well as lesser-known measurements such as lung function, infection risk, sleep apnea, and hyperglycemia risk.
Tech companies and the media are calling Huawei’s new health monitoring system a major step forward in wearable technology, which they say will allow users to monitor their health more comprehensively.
