Huawei is back: Great interest for Mate 60 Pro with 5G!

Ana sayfa / Smartphones

Huawei, after being blacklisted by the United States in 2019, was barred from using important technologies, including Google services and 5G. During this period, the company took various measures to minimize its reliance on foreign technology, such as the development of the HarmonyOS operating system. Most recently, the Chinese manufacturer unexpectedly unveiled its 5G-enabled Mate 60 series last week. Recent information reveals a significant level of interest in these phones, prompting the company to increase shipments to meet demand.

Huawei Mate 60 Pro exceeds expectations, shipments to exceed 12 million

Prominent industry leaker Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the Huawei Mate 60 series, released last week, exceeded expectations. The analyst mentioned that the Pro model of the series sold approximately 1 million units within the first five days.

In comparison, the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, released last year, saw shipments of 2.5 million units in its first 12 months. The Mate 40 Pro, launched in 2020, had shipments of 6 million units during the same time frame. According to Kuo’s latest report, if the shipments of the Mate 60 Pro continue at this pace, it is expected to surpass 12 million units within the first year after its launch.

This is not the only good news for Huawei, as the Chinese manufacturer, which has faced significant challenges in the smartphone market since 2019, is expected to reach shipments of 38 million in 2023. The projected target for 2024 is around 60 million units.
