Huawei announced a series of new products at its recent launch in China. Among them was the MatePad Pro 13.2 model, which appeals to the flagship tablet world. As the name suggests, it features a 13.2-inch OLED display, making it Huawei’s largest tablet yet. The company also said it was the world’s first flexible OLED tablet.
Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 specs and price
The most striking point of the new MatePad Pro was its screen. It offers 2880×1920 resolution, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 1000 nits peak brightness and P3 color gamut support. It features an almost bezel-less design with a 94 percent screen-to-body ratio. Other important features include a 3:2 aspect ratio, 1440Hz PWM and Eye Comfort certification.
It is powered by the Kirin 60s chipset, which we also see in the Mate 9000s series. MatePad Pro 13.2 comes with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, and will run HarmonyOS 4 out of the box. It is also powered by a 10,100mAh battery with 88W fast charging.
It has a camera setup that we are not used to seeing in the tablet world. It has dual cameras on the back, 13 Megapixel main and 8 Megapixel ultra-wide. On the front, there is a 16 Megapixel selfie camera as well as a ToF sensor.
It promises a powerful audio experience with six speakers with spatial audio support. The tablet also comes with the Huawei M-Pen stylus for note-taking and drawing.
Pricing for the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 starts at $711 with a 12GB/256GB WiFi option. While pre-orders have already started in China, it is unclear when it will come to the global market.
