Huawei Nova Flip S’s Processor Leaked!

Ana sayfa / News

Huawei’s newest and most affordable small foldable phone, the Nova Flip S, has quietly gone on sale in China. While the company didn’t reveal the name of the chipset at the device’s core at the time of launch, a performance-monitoring software program has finally revealed this intriguing information, according to a report by MyDrivers.

The Huawei Nova Flip S has been confirmed to be powered by the Kirin 8000 processor, which also powered the original Nova Flip, which was previously introduced in China in August. The Kirin 8000 boasts an octa-core architecture that aims to deliver sufficient everyday performance despite the device’s foldable form factor:

Powered by a Mali-G610 GPU.

Launched at a starting price of 3,488 yuan (approximately $490), the Nova Flip S became Huawei’s cheapest foldable smartphone to date. While retaining the same exterior design as the original Nova Flip, the device is available in new colors like Celadon Blue and Feather Sand Black.

Despite its compact design, the Nova Flip S boasts impressive display features both inside and out. When closed, the device features a 2.14-inch square (1:1 aspect ratio) exterior display that offers widgets, animated pets, and quick communication functions. Inside, it houses a 6.94-inch OLED display. This panel offers a 2690×1136 resolution and a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate for a smoother viewing experience.

The phone runs HarmonyOS 5.1, which further enhances software integration. Power is provided by a 4,400 mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging support. The rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel secondary lens. This foldable design provides ample hardware for everyday photography.

The Nova Flip S is currently only available in China, but it remains to be seen whether it will be released in other countries.
