Ming Chi Kuo, who is known for his Apple analysis and usually makes accurate predictions, shared an important analysis about the Huawei P70 series on his Medium account.

First of all, it is true that Kuo’s important analysis is linked to some internal leaks. In this sense, Chin-Kuo also explained some of the features that emerged for the Huawei P70 series in his article. Chin Kuo especially thinks that the sales rate of the P70 series will grow by 230% compared to last year.

According to Ming Chi Kuo, Huawei P70 series will come with three models called P70, P70 Pro and P70 Art. The Art model mentioned here is expected to be a special model like Porsche Design. Kuo said that a special and expensive lens will be used in this series.

The famous analyst announced that Huawei will also include the 5G-supported Kirin processor in this series. Here we are likely to encounter the Kirin 9000S, which we encountered in the Mate 60 series. As you know, even though this processor has gone through the 7 nm fabrication process, it has 5G feature. This enabled Huawei to increase its sales again, especially in China. Ming Chi-Kuo believes that there will be a similar effect for Huawei P70 sales.

In this sense, Kuo expects this increase to continue in the P70 series. According to the analyst, Huawei P70 shipments are likely to break records and increase by 230 percent compared to last year. In this sense, shipments are likely to reach 13-15 million units on an annual basis. Again, the flagship model is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2024.

But even if things don’t go well and restocking demands drop, Kuo expects shipments to grow 150% to 10-12 million units. Although the shipment numbers are not direct sales, it is obvious that there will be no new shipments without sales in stores. So Huawei P70 series sales can also break records and reach these shipment figures.

Huawei P70 series specs are slowly starting to take shape. Kuo announced that the Huawei P70 model will use a 5P lens and a 1/3.6-inch telephoto sensor. In the P70 Pro model, we see a 6P lens and 1/2.5-inch sensor size. P70 Art will have a 1-inch sensor size and 1G6P lens. P, which we encounter in smartphone lenses, means that the lenses are made of plastic. However, Huawei, which plays the top in smartphone cameras, also does this. What is important here is the number of lenses used. This allows the smartphone camera to refract light better.

Nevertheless, although the material quality affects the photo quality to some extent, the cost of using glass lenses in such a mini area is quite high. However, Huawei P70 Art model will use 1 glass lens and 6 plastic lenses. The expression 1G6P here also explains this. The cost of this is quite expensive than a lens that uses 7P, that is, 7 layers of lenses. This is also an indication that the Huawei P70 Art model will be quite expensive next to the others.
