Huawei recently unveiled the latest Pura 70 family at a launch event. These models, which marked the end of the P series, stood out with their camera and design. However, Huawei’s first innovation with the Pura 80 series has emerged.
Huawei Pura 80 series image sensor leaked
Huawei is preparing to launch its next flagship Mate 70 series in the coming months. A new leak from China reveals the camera features of the Mate 70 and Pura 80 series.
The Mate 70 series is expected to feature the same 1/1.3″ OV50K image sensor found in the Honor Magic 6 Ultimate. Codenamed “super dynamic Eagle Eye camera”, the OV50K sensor is known for its high dynamic range. The leak also revealed that it will include LOFIC autofocus technology for faster focusing.
Given that Huawei usually launches Mate devices in the fall, we can expect the Mate 70 series to be unveiled in September. These camera sensors will also be in the Pura 80 models coming next year.
On the other hand, the Pura family comes in four versions: Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro+, and Pura 70 Ultra. The new series comes with the Kirin 9010 chipset, which is more advanced on the processor side than the Kirin 9000s that powers the Mate 60 series.
The Pura 70 Ultra features a 1-inch 50-megapixel main camera sensor with XMAGE image technology, a 40-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto macro camera. The Pro+ model has the same main camera.
