Technology giant Huawei announced with an official statement today that it has rolled out the final version of the highly anticipated HarmonyOS 6.1 update for a wide range of products in the Chinese market.
As part of its strategy to strengthen its operating system ecosystem, the company is upgrading dozens of devices, including flagship smartphones, tablets, and wearable technologies, to the new version.
Aiming to improve the user experience, this comprehensive update package includes significant improvements in performance stability and system security. While the distribution process in question currently only covers users in China, plans for the global market are expected to become clear in the coming periods.

Additionally, users of the Pura 80, Pura 70, Pura X, and nova 15 series can also install the update on their devices. When looking at tablets, it is seen that the MatePad Edge, MatePad Pro 13.2 2025, and 12.2-inch models are updated. In the wearable device segment, the Watch GT 6 and FreeBuds 5 can benefit from the advantages of the current version.
Beta Testing Process Has Been Initiated for Other Devices
In addition to the final version, Huawei also launched a public beta program covering a wider audience. Within this scope, models such as the Mate X5, Pocket 2, nova 14, nova 13, and nova 12 series were included in the testing process.
On the computer side, devices such as the MateBook Pro and MateBook 14 Hongmeng Edition also get their share of the beta process. Additionally, popular wearable devices like the Watch Ultimate 2 and Watch 5 gain access to new features through this testing program. The company aims for a seamless harmony between all devices in its ecosystem with HarmonyOS 6.1.
