In the rapidly evolving world of Android smartphones, Huawei has just unveiled a promotional video for its innovative triple-folding phone, the Mate XT. This device, which was first seen in the hands of the CEO a few weeks ago, has now revealed its rear design in an official video. Here are the details:
Huawei Mate XT: Slim Even When Open
While triple-folding phones often conjure images of bulky devices, Huawei seems to have crafted a refined product in this category. As seen in the promotional video featuring Chinese star Andy Lau, the Mate XT maintains a sleek profile even when fully extended, offering a surprisingly slim appearance.
The Mate XT’s triple-folding design draws attention with its large screen, which is equipped with dual hinges and remains thin when open. Reports suggest the screen will be close to 10 inches, providing a tablet-like experience.
The phone is expected to support a stylus, and its rear design features an octagonal camera module, which is rumored to include a periscope telephoto lens. The rear panel also sports Huawei and Ultimate Design logos, along with a vegan leather finish, reminiscent of the Mate 60 RS model.
Though not folded, the Mate XT is claimed to be thinner than 5 mm. Technical specifications have yet to be disclosed, but leaks suggest it might use a Kirin 9 series processor. The Mate XT is anticipated to be unveiled on September 10 and is rumored to be priced around $2000.
