Huawei has officially unveiled the Watch Ultimate 2 on the global market. This new smartwatch, an upgraded version of the original Watch Ultimate, released in March 2023, stands out with both its design and innovative features. Here are the details of the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2, which boasts numerous new features.
The Watch Ultimate 2 offers a wide range of features
The Watch Ultimate 2 comes in two colors: Black and Blue. The Black version measures 48.5 x 48.5 x 12.9 mm and comes with a black fluoroelastomer strap. The Blue version measures 47.8 x 47.8 x 12.9 mm and features a titanium strap and a long blue and white fluoroelastomer strap.
Both models support wrist sizes from 140 to 210 mm, weigh 80.5 grams, and utilize a zirconium-based liquid metal casing for protection. Featuring sapphire glass on the display, the watch features a 1.5-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel with a 466 x 466 resolution and a peak brightness of 3500 nits.
The Watch Ultimate 2 stands out as the first smartwatch capable of diving to depths of 150 meters. Thanks to its waterproof design, it offers voice capabilities even underwater. The device also offers messaging with sonar-based communication up to a depth of 30 meters.
Users can add up to 50 dive buddies and track dive data (such as depth, duration, and speed) on the watch and the Huawei Health app. The watch features a multi-sensing X-Tap control located between its two crowns, which provides access to health data such as heart rate and ECG.
With eSIM support, it can make calls with AI noise cancellation, and it also features Exploration Mode, which allows for route planning and offline map downloading thanks to the “Sunflower” positioning system.
Battery life reaches up to 11 days with light use, 6 days with typical use, and 4 days in always-on display mode. Other features include fall detection, action camera control, golf tracking, smart gestures, and AppGallery support.
The price of the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 has not yet been announced, but it is expected to go on sale in October.
