Huawei will push to the top despite US embargo

Ana sayfa / Smartphones

Huawei is looking to change the balance again in the smartphone market. Huawei, the company that has been struggling with the US embargo for the last three years, finally came up with a 5G surprise in the Mate 60 Pro model. According to new information, the company is preparing to return to its old days in smartphone production.

Huawei and the US embargo

Huawei wants to return to its old days in the smartphone market led by Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi. The company, which fell from the top after the US embargo and lost Google support, was reborn with the Mate 60 Pro. Accordingly, the company intends to distribute between 60-70 million in the smartphone market next year. This is two times more than last year. Huawei is looking to change the balance with this record shipment rate.

However, one of the most important disadvantages for Huawei here is the ongoing US embargo. Until now, the company has been using Snapdragon processors with 4G modems due to the 5G embargo. Finally, it came up with a Kirin 9000S, a 5G processor that has gone through the 7nm fabrication process. In this sense, the company is expected to use the same processor in the P 70 Pro and Mate 70 Pro models.

Judging by the emerging details, the company has already started to supply a high amount of parts from companies for new smartphone models. Huawei has recently been pushing the limits both on the HarmonyOS side and on the processor side.

Huawei Nova 11 SE features and price revealed. The device, which will appeal to the middle level, will come with 8GB RAM and OLED screen.

Experts do not think that Huawei can distribute 60-70 million despite the US embargo. On the other hand, it is among the expectations that Huawei sales will increase after the 5G move. However, it seems difficult for the company to be among the best-selling smartphones again for now.

SMIC, which produces processors especially for Huawei, cannot go below 7nm with its old type lithography machines. Again, SMIC cannot access new lithography machines due to the embargo. For now, TSMC has 3 nm fabrication technology. In this sense, it is also a matter of curiosity whether users will prefer Huawei smartphone models that will have a 7nm processor.

So what do you think, can Huawei rise from the ashes with a record shipment rate under the US embargo? We are waiting for your comments.
