The Renault brand has added carbon-neutrality to its 2040 and 2050 targets worldwide. In addition to this, Renault has also turned to new engine technologies and recently added the hydrogen engine to its hybrid engine technologies. The vehicle in question, Emblème, fits both plans for the near future of the automotive industry.

To put it briefly, a major electric transformation in passenger cars is expected in the near future. The biggest competitor to this transformation is currently hydrogen engines. Although a great deal of electricity is required for the breakdown of hydrogen, we can state that they are much further ahead in terms of efficiency.

Renault is trying to stick to both plans. As with Honda’s CR-V e:FCEV model, the Embléme model is powered by a hybrid engine while also receiving the support of electric motors. As for the specifications of the new Embléme model, the car has a length of 4.8 meters and a width of 1.52 meters.

The biggest claim of the car, which is currently in the concept phase, is that it completes a 1000-kilometer journey in the same time as a gasoline car. In other words, it does not need long charging times like electric cars. However, let’s not forget to mention that there are currently 1000 hydrogen filling facilities around the world.

Weighing 1750 kilograms, the car emits 90 percent less carbon emissions than traditional internal combustion engine vehicles from the day it leaves the production line until the day it is sorted in the scrapyard.
