HyperOS released for Redmi K40 series
Within the scope of the distribution that started in China, it was stated that HyperOS version is ready for Redmi K40, K40 Pro and K40 Pro+. Distributed with version number 1.0.3.0.TKHCNXM, the model gives Android 14 package to the K40 series. However, it should be noted that the K40 Gaming Edition remains on Android 13.
The HyperOS package, which is about 1.5 GB in size, brings a new breath to the series in terms of both performance and design. Reflecting Xiaomi’s goal of unifying its entire ecosystem in a single operating system, the update also provides Android 14 innovations to the K40 series.
Xiaomi HyperOS will offer more customization on the lock screen with new watch styles, fonts, wallpapers and widgets. The control center will have a cleaner and more modern design compared to the previous version MIUI 14. App icons are similar, but the overall consistency seems to have improved.
The K40 Gaming Edition, the first gaming phone in the Redmi series, was first unveiled in 2021. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset; It is supported by LPDDR4x 8/12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal memory with UFS 3.1 support.
