The countdown has begun for HyperOS, which will replace the MIUI interface. Xiaomi is set to introduce the new system with the Xiaomi 14 series, and after extensive efforts due to its wide product range, the company has prepared a comprehensive distribution plan. News has started to emerge for both Chinese and global Xiaomi models.
The latest update comes for the POCO X5 Pro
According to a report shared by Xiaomiui, the HyperOS update for the POCO X5 Pro is currently being tested and will be available soon. The version will come with build numbers V816.0.2.0.UMSMIXM and V816.0.1.0.UMSEUXM, based on Android 14.
Xiaomi founder Lei Jun officially announced a change in the HyperOS interface logo in a recent post. The new logo, described as a galaxy composed of points rotating together like ideas and connections in the digital world, is more elegant and compact than its predecessor. It also incorporates shades of purple.
Xiaomi HyperOS is expected to offer more customization on the lock screen with new clock styles, fonts, wallpapers, and widgets. The control center will have a cleaner and more modern design compared to the previous MIUI 14 version.
While the application icons remain similar, there seems to be an overall improvement in consistency. Another notable detail with the new version is the space HyperOS will occupy on phones. According to Xiaomi, the system is around 8.75 GB in size, providing a significant storage advantage compared to competitors.
HyperOS is designed to consume less power and operate more comfortably in lower memory configurations compared to its predecessors. This suggests that Xiaomi is leaving room for older and hardware-limited devices to benefit from the new interface.
