Hyundai and Kia will increase EV ranges with this technology

Electric vehicles now occupy a big place in the automobile world. Many automotive giants have started to produce electric cars with large budgets. However, many question marks about this technology, which is considered to be at the beginning of the road, have not yet been resolved. The most important of these are the range and battery.

One of the most common questions for those who will buy an electric car is “How much range does it have?”. As it is known, companies announce their ranges for standard driving. In other words, the range drops considerably after a high-speed drive. This situation is still a problem.

Many automotive giants are continuing to invest in efforts to increase their range. Finally, Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation today announced a technology that will minimize range loss due to high speed.

First information has arrived for Xiaomi’s price-performance-focused tablet!

Digital Chat Station, which stands out with its leaks in the industry, revealed the first details about the Xiaomi tablet named 24018RPACC.

Hyundai and Kia introduced Active Air Skirt (AAS) technology as a product of their joint work. The technology promises to minimize aerodynamic resistance during high-speed driving. The AAS controls the airflow entering through the lower part of the bumper and controls turbulence around the vehicle’s wheels.

Hyundai and Kia tested the technology by installing AAS on the Genesis GV60. As a result of the test, the technology reduced the coefficient of friction (Cd) by 0.008 and increased drag by 2.8 percent. This translates into an additional range increase of about 6 km. The technology can also be used at speeds above 200 km/h, the companies said.
