IKEA debuts its interior design service

Ana sayfa / News

Most of us like the design of IKEA stores. As we see examples of IKEA interior designs, we would like to organize our home in the same way. However, in our own houses, sometimes it doesn’t look like the IKEA store because of the space and building structure. For this problem, IKEA has launched a new service. Thanks to this service, you can ask IKEA interior designers for special designs for your own room. It’s just like hiring an interior designer.

With IKEA’s interior design service you can now achieve the IKEA look in your home

You know that nowadays most people can easily make video calls and meetings online. So the company has turned this opportunity into a service. To make an appointment with IKEA interior designers, you first answer a few questions on IKEA’s USA website. These questions are generally about what kind of design you have in mind.

Based on these answers, the system directs you to the most suitable designer. You have 3 one-on-one video interviews with this designer and agree on the space, design, 3D renderings, a mood board, floor plan, drawings, a list of products and also material options. Once everything is agreed, IKEA takes care of order tracking and installation. You can use this service not only for homes but also for businesses.

The new interior design service does come at a cost, with meetings with an IKEA interior designer cost $99 per room for an individual and $299 per room for businesses. The prices aren’t bad considering the average interior designer will most likely cost anywhere between $50 and $500 per hour.

“We are excited to roll out the new IKEA Interior Design Service program, as we know design is an important part of the shopping experience. We want to support people’s lives at home and at work and help them create their dream space.

It is a great opportunity for our well-versed, creative, and talented interior designers to continue to build meaningful relationships and mutual trust with our customers as we provide beautifully designed and affordable solutions that improve their home or business,” said Abbey Stark, interior design leader for IKEA U.S., in a press release announcing the new service.
