Apple announced the other day that it will launch iPhone 16 on September 9th. Immediately after the launch announcement, there were some changes in the management team. Accordingly, Apple’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) has changed.
Apple Chief Financial Officer (CFO) has changed
Apple announced that Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Luca Maestri will step down after more than 10 years in the role. Maestri will lead the Apple Enterprise Services team, including functions such as information systems and technology.
Replacing Maestri as CFO will be Kevan Parekh, who has held finance leadership roles at Apple for more than a decade. Parekh most recently served as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Under Maestri’s leadership, Apple’s total revenue doubled and service revenue grew more than fivefold. Maestri played a key role in Apple’s financial growth and strategy. Apple CEO Tim Cook praised Maestri’s work. Accordingly, he said that the company will continue to benefit from Maestri in his new role.
Cook emphasized the experience of the new CFO Parekh. In this context, he stated that Parekh would be “indispensable”, “brilliant” and “a perfect choice” for this position. The new CFO will join Apple’s management team reporting to Cook.
