If the latest leaks from Digital Chat Station are accurate, OPPO’s upcoming Reno 15 series may offer more than just a minor hardware upgrade. According to the report, both the Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro are being tested with a 200 MP main camera. This marks a significant improvement over the 50 MP cameras found in their predecessors.
OPPO Reno 15 Series May Feature a 200 MP Main Camera
The source hasn’t revealed the exact type of sensor used for the 200 MP camera currently being tested on the smartphones. It’s noted that the testing phase is still ongoing, meaning changes are still possible. Additionally, both the standard and Pro models are rumoured to include a periscope camera.
The Reno 15 is expected to come with a smaller and more compact design, featuring a 6.3-inch panel—down from the 6.59-inch screen on its predecessor. On the other hand, the Pro variant is said to sport a 6.78-inch display. The source also claims that both devices will have a metal frame and support wireless charging.
There has been no official announcement regarding the Reno 15 series launch date. However, considering that the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro were only recently released globally, it seems users will have to wait a bit longer. That said, the ongoing testing and recent leaks suggest that OPPO may have a surprise in store sooner than expected.
