Artificial Intelligence Writing Feature for Instagram on the Way
Instagram, one of the most widely used social media applications in the world, is finally introducing an artificial intelligence feature. Alessandro Paluzzi, who shares leaks about Instagram features on the X platform, revealed a new leak.
According to this leak, the social media giant is developing a feature for sending DMs with artificial intelligence. In the Instagram DM screen shared by Paluzzi, the option to “Write with AI” stands out. It is also possible that Meta’s SeamlessM4T artificial intelligence model will be introduced for the writing feature.
This artificial intelligence was unveiled in August and has the ability to understand and translate in approximately 100 languages. So, it might be possible to translate without using Google Translate directly through Instagram. However, it’s not clear whether Instagram will provide translation capabilities for the writing feature with artificial intelligence.
This simple feature is actually the least attention-grabbing among the social media platform’s artificial intelligence features. In October, it was also revealed that the platform was working on a virtual friend powered by artificial intelligence. It seems that Meta is trying to establish a much more complex artificial intelligence system. The social media app has not yet introduced the artificial intelligence assistant feature that will act like a personal assistant to users.
Although Meta lags behind its competitors, it still has the opportunity to join this race with the SeamlessM4T artificial intelligence model. It’s also worth noting that the technology giant Apple will only join the artificial intelligence revolution with iOS 18.
