Instagram has decided to add a comments section to Stories to increase user engagement . Accordingly, similar to posts, it will be possible to leave comments on Stories and see other users’ comments.
How to leave a comment on Instagram Story?
The feature, announced by the social media giant in the past few hours, allows users to leave comments on Stories that can be seen by everyone. These comments will appear as a drop-down menu at the bottom of the Story. It will provide a space for discussion without disrupting the appearance of the content.
The move will change the way people interact with Stories beyond direct messages, with users able to voice their opinions on posts from influencer accounts in particular. Instagram said it will “encourage more open dialogue” by adding a comments section to Stories.
Instagram director Adam Mosseri said the platform has seen significant growth in Story views and direct messages compared to standard posts, and the comments section will also make Stories more interactive.
Of course, it should be noted that the Story owner can disable comments. Similar to posts, they will also have the right to restrict Story comments and delete shared comments.
