Instagram is one of the most popular social media applications. Due to this popularity, the application keeps itself updated thanks to the new features. Now, Instagram released the Notes feature that allows users to post text and emojis at the top of direct messages. The new feature lets users share their thoughts, and communicate with others publicly, using just text and emojis. Here are the details about Instagram Notes.
Post text and emojis via Instagram Notes
The new Instagram feature is similar to Twitter’s feed due to the limited text on Notes. However, Notes are a bit short posts of up to 60 characters using just text and emojis while Twitter’s maximum 240-character limit. Soon after Elon Musk’s plans to increase the 240 characters limit to 4,000 characters on Twitter, Instagram released the new Notes feature to the users.
If you would like to experience the new notes feature, here are the ways you can follow. Firstly, you need to open your inbox, select the followers you follow back or people on your Close Friends list, then you can share your note at the top of your direct messages. Your followers will see your note at the top of their inbox for 24 hours, like stories.
The new feature also allows you to communicate with your followers. They can reply to your notes as DMs in your inbox. Thanks to the Notes feature, it is easy for you to get in touch with your followers. Instagram is also testing new features in Stories like Group Profiles and Candid Stories.
The new Group Profiles feature will allow you to create and join Group Profiles to share your posts and stories in a shared profile with followers. Additionally, Instagram will bring Candid Stories to capture and share live moments in a story that can be shown to people who also share their own.
