Intel Core Ultra 7 258V beats AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme in performance test

Ana sayfa / News

Intel’s new Core Ultra 7 258V processor has managed to leave its powerful rival AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme behind in gaming performance. In a recent test, Intel’s Arc 140V graphics processing unit was able to outperform AMD’s Radeon 780M GPU. Here are the details of the test…

The test was conducted on the game Ashes of the Singularity, and Intel delivered an average of 37 frames per second (fps), while Ryzen Z1 Extreme managed 36.8 FPS. While the difference may seem small at first glance, when it comes to CPU performance, Intel is clearly ahead. Intel’s processor achieved 66.4 FPS CPU performance, while Ryzen Z1 Extreme managed 48.4 FPS.

One of the interesting aspects of this test is that both systems have different memory capacities. Intel’s tested system used 16 GB of RAM, while AMD tested with 12 GB of RAM. This may affect the results a little, as integrated GPUs can perform depending on the system memory. The results may be different in tests with the same memory capacities.

Intel’s new Lunar Lake architecture and Arc 140V GPU are described as “the world’s best integrated GPU.” These benchmarks also reinforce Intel’s claim and show how ambitious it is in terms of GPU performance. However, it’s too early to draw definitive conclusions with just one gaming test.

So, how does this performance difference affect the AMD-Intel competition? Do you think Intel will be able to leave AMD behind in the gaming world with its new architecture? You can write your opinions in the comments section below.
