Intel is entering a major transformation process under the leadership of its new CEO Lip-Bu Tan. Tan is preparing to reshape the company’s strategies, especially in the areas of manufacturing processes and artificial intelligence. It is stated that Tan aims to create an organizational structure that can make faster decisions and is more efficient after the difficulties Intel has experienced in recent years.
Intel will enter a transformation process with its new CEO
According to information shared by Reuters, Tan will make radical changes to Intel’s management structure. The company’s management layer will be cut and bureaucratic obstacles will be reduced. During the term of former CEO Pat Gelsinger, there was much criticism that the company’s management structure was too heavy and slow. Tan will make this structure more agile and accelerate decision-making processes.

Intel’s chip manufacturing unit Intel Foundry has also started manufacturing for external customers in recent years in order to compete with TSMC and Samsung. Tan will try to attract large customers such as Nvidia, Microsoft and Amazon by expanding this strategy more aggressively.
Intel’s biggest trump card, the 18A manufacturing process, is seen as one of the company’s most important technological steps in the future. It is stated that the Panther Lake chips produced with this process will focus on AI-supported workloads.
In recent years, Nvidia and AMD have gained a large market share in AI chips. Tan has accelerated the development of next-generation AI chips so that Intel does not fall behind in this race. It is said that the company will invest in software, robotics and basic AI models in addition to producing special chips for AI servers. So what do you think about this?
