Intel overclocks Arc A380 GPU with driver update

Ana sayfa / Graphic Cards

Intel has not achieved the success it wanted in the market with the graphics card models of the Arc series. However, the update that the company distributed for an entry-level model attracts attention. Intel stated that it overclocked the Arc A380 graphics card via a driver update.

Intel Arc A380 gets 7.5% performance boost with update

Intel is trying an interesting way to compete against entry-level models from AMD and Nvidia. The Arc A380, known for its affordable price point, has received a driver update that boosts clock speed performance.

Many hardware manufacturers prevent overclocking to maintain the stability of entry-level models. Intel took the opposite approach with the A380. With a new driver update, Intel increased the A380’s base clock speed by 7.5 percent. This boosted the graphics card from 2000MHz to 2150MHz.

Artificial intelligence is stealing passwords from keystrokes!

This time, it has been determined that artificial intelligence is stealing passwords using keyboard sounds. Here are the details!

This overclock seems to almost double the A380’s performance. An earlier update provided a performance boost of 19 percent for DirectX 11 games and over 40 percent for DirectX 9 games.

The company said it will distribute the new update through the BIOS. This allows A380 owners to overclock without doing anything else, just installing the update.

While the 150MHz (or 7.5 percent) overclock is small, it’s noteworthy that Intel is supporting entry-level Arc models with the update. The Intel Arc A380 is priced at $120.
