Intel shared its roadmap! The upcoming processors

Ana sayfa / Processor

Intel wants to take important steps in processor technology in the next few years. It was stated that the company wants to become the processor leader within the scope of the program it will run until 2025. This leadership means that it wants to offer the highest performance per watt compared to competitors such as TSMC and Samsung. Here are the new Intel processors.

The hardware giant is currently in the transition phase for Intel 4, which adopts the 7nm architecture. The first processors using Intel 4 will be the Meteor Lake models introduced this year. The processors in this series combine Intel 4 and the TSMC N3 node in one chip.

Behind Intel 4 is Intel 3, which is planned to be used in data centers from 2024. This technology is expected to provide an 18 percent performance increase per watt compared to Intel 4.

Hyundai’s affordable electric model Casper!

Hyundai affordable electric model Casper has emerged. So what are the technical specifications of Hyundai Casper? Here are the details...

Immediately after that, the next two architectures codenamed Intel 20A and 18A come to the fore. The company believes it can surpass its competitors with these two architectures. The 20A is scheduled for production in 2024. It will utilize new technologies such as PowerVia and RibbonFET for power delivery.

By 2025, the processor world is scheduled to move to 2nm architecture. Intel wants to catch up with its competitors with 20A and 18A nodes.

Products that will use the 20A node will include the 15th Generation Arrow Lake processors. The 18A, due out in late 2024 or 2025, will offer a 10 percent performance increase per watt thanks to PowerVia and RibbonFET. Next-generation processors like Panther Lake and data center chips will use 18A.

If Intel can implement new node technologies as planned despite the semiconductor shortage, it will have the highest performance chips by 2025. Let’s see how competitors like TSMC and Samsung will respond to this roadmap.
